40 YEARS OF CELEBRATION AND FUN This years event marks 40 years of mud splashing, feathers flying and great family fun. It is an event that not only allows us to celebrate the independence of this great country, but enables us to celebrate our community and family.

Kenwood 4th of July Celebrations & World Pillow Fighting Championships The Kenwood 4th of July Celebrations & World Pillow Fighting Championships is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization run by dedicated volunteers from the Kenwood Fireman’s Association and the Kenwood community. The funds raised from this event provide education, equipment and firehouse improvements for the Kenwood Fire Protection District.

Scholarship Program
The Kenwood Fireman’s Association awards a number of scholarships annually to college bound students who meet the application requirements. This year’s scholarships will be announced in April.

Benefits to local participating non-profit groups
The Kenwood 4th of July Celebrations & World Pillow Fighting Championships offers free booth space to a selected number of non-profit organizations. The free booth space we provide offers these groups a way to raise funds for their annual budget. We also pay a small number of groups who provide us with volunteers for the day.
